C-605

The C-605 is the first model in SALT's Ctrl Series. Technically, it's a control paddle. It just has trouble acting like one. It was designed for precision, finesse, and soft-game control - and it is all of those things. It also generates more pop than it has any right to. It's our control paddle that plays like it needs to prove itself.
We are offering early access to a limited supply of the C-605 while it makes its way through the formal paddle-certification process. Once it's done charming the folks at USAP, we'll throw a celebratory approval party, where we will hit all the presale C-605s with the official "USA Pickleball Approved" emblem.

THE PADDLE

Thermoformed T700 carbon fiber face. 16mm dual-wall foam core with polypropylene honeycomb and a foam-injected neck - the whole edge wrapped in a two-layer foam perimeter wall. The structure is designed to absorb and return energy through the face instead of losing it through the frame. That's where the dwell time comes from. Micro grit surface at the USAP friction ceiling. It doesn't feel aggressive on your fingers. On the ball, it grips like it has a point to make. Elongated shape. 5.75" handle - longer than the P-1. More reach at the net, more room to work in tight exchanges. The feel on touch shots is soft. Cushioned. You're not fighting the paddle to reset or drop - it cooperates. The sweet spot is wide, misses behave, and everything about the soft game is easier than it should be. And then you drive the ball and the paddle forgets it was supposed to be chill about this. The pop is high. Not "high for a control paddle" - just high. It's a walking contradiction and it does not apologize for it.

HOW IT COMPARES TO THE P-1

The P-1 gives you exactly what you put in. Tight, direct, no favors. The C-605 gives you a little more than you put in on touch, and a lot when you decide to attack. Same precision ceiling. Very different personality.
